525 Green Banking Team Joins the Bukhara Night Race 2025

On September 13, 2025, Bukhara hosted the international Bukhara Night Race 2025, which this year was held alongside the first Bukhara Biennale. Since 2022, the night race has become a vibrant tradition in Bukhara, bringing together sports, culture, and the values of social responsibility.
Participants started from the Ark Fortress in the historic city center and ran along the illuminated streets of ancient Bukhara — past madrasahs, mosques, the Kalyan Minaret, and trading domes. In 2025, the route was updated and, for the first time, included a half-marathon distance. The program also featured familiar formats: 5 km, 10 km, Nordic walking, children’s races, and plogging — running while collecting litter.
The organizers traditionally place special emphasis on social and environmental responsibility. The Avvalgidan tozaroq (“Cleaner than before”) program is once again being implemented this year, with plogging as one of its key initiatives.
Employees of the Green Banking department consistently support such projects in the country and actively participate in them. This time, the department was represented by Guliruxsor Roisheva, who, through her personal example, demonstrated commitment to the values of sustainable development, an active lifestyle, and environmental care.
All races of the Samarkand Marathon series, including the Bukhara Night Race, are accredited by the international SheRACES initiative, which ensures compliance with high international standards and supports the principles of equal rights and inclusion.
Green Banking extends its gratitude to the organizers and participants of the race and is convinced that such events help promote positive social practices, foster respect for cultural heritage and the environment, and advance green initiatives in Uzbekistan.
