Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank received Euromoney Awards

On March 27, awarding ceremony for banking and financial institutions across Asia and Europe was held in London by the international magazine “Euromoney. Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank was recognized as the winner in several prestigious categories.

In particular, the bank was acknowledged as the most advanced in the field of retail banking services and as the most active financial institution in Uzbekistan in the area of sustainable development.

It is worth noting that, as part of the ongoing transformation of the banking system, innovative approaches have been introduced to enhance service quality and operational efficiency in both the retail and premium segments.

Notably, a special office providing personalized and exclusive services was established in the bank’s historic building. Premium clients are now served by dedicated personal managers, with whom a system of direct and continuous communication has been established. Comprehensive service packages have been developed at the airport, including meet-and-greet and transfer services, hotel and flight bookings, as well as personalized travel arrangements across Uzbekistan.

In addition, the bank implemented large-scale initiatives in the area of green banking over the past year. A dedicated division within “Green banking” department was established to introduce the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, and regulatory documents in this area were developed. The combination of the bank's financial growth with its commitment to social responsibility was highly praised by the international rating agency “Sustainable Fitch”, contributing to the bank’s ESG rating.

Moreover, buildings within the bank’s network are being assessed for environmental efficiency in accordance with the international EDGE audit. To date, 20 buildings have been certified as meeting green building standards and have received the international EDGE certification.

The bank also tracks greenhouse gas emissions generated by its operations and clients. Upon completion of this reporting, a dedicated policy aimed at reducing the bank’s carbon footprint will be developed and implemented.

In its evaluation of Uzpromstroybank, “Euromoney” highlighted that the bank is progressing in line with international standards and maintains a leading position in Uzbekistan’s banking sector.
