JSCB Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank and China Development Bank worth 140 mln. signed a dollar agreement

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, his excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China, his excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, is visiting People's Republic of China on 23-25th January. 
The agreements signed at the highest level, and the favorable investment and business climate established in Uzbekistan became a key factor to the further expansion of cooperation with large Chinese enterprises and financial institutions.
In the context of the current visit, Framework agreement in the amount of 1 billion RMB (eqv. USD 140 million) was signed between JSCB Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank and China Development Bank.
The credit line will be directed to financing the projects aimed at creating new jobs and developing the investment potential of Uzbekistan.
Moreover, within the framework of this agreement, Parties agreed on further cooperation in developing the professional skills of bank specialists and organization of exchange programs.
For information: China Development Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in PRC and responsible for financing large infrastructure projects. Total assets of the Bank is USD 2,5 trillion and equity is USD 225 billion.
