JSCB “Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank” Receives Prestigious Asian Development Bank Award

On September 3, 2024, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held a significant event in Singapore to review a decade of its “Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program.” During this milestone occasion, SQB was honored with the “Trade Deal of the Year” award.

The collaboration between SQB and ADB has been extensive, with a total value of projects worth approximately $150 million are being financed. This partnership highlights ongoing efforts in financing transformative initiatives.

Awarding ceremony celebrated various projects developed in partnership with ADB and recognized the most active banks. SQB's transaction, supported by ADB and executed with Italy's “Banca Popolare di Sondrio, "was distinguished as the “Best Trade Deal of the Year” for its global significance in trade and investment financing.

Additionally, the ceremony underscored SQB's leadership in financing energy-efficient and “green” projects within Uzbekistan. The event saw participation from over 200 representatives of leading banks worldwide, marking a notable achievement for SQB and its commitment to sustainable development.
