SQB enhances cooperation with Korea Eximbank

The state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol to the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 13-15 this year marked the beginning of a new stage in bilateral relations.

As part of the state visit, the Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank (SQB) and the Export-Import Bank of Korea signed a General Agreement on the coordination of interbank loans.

The total cost of this credit line is $50 million, which will be allocated to domestic entrepreneurs implementing joint projects with Korean partners.

The funds will be used for industrial projects, to support small and medium-sized businesses, and to create new jobs.

It should be noted that SQB has successfully cooperated with Korea Eximbank. To date, SQB, together with the Export-Import Bank of Korea, has financed projects worth almost $47.5 million aimed at creating new jobs for the country’s economy and developing export potential. More than 2,000 new jobs have been created.
